If you are looking for a sea kindly traditional gaffer with a grp hull and modern engine, for a fraction of the price of a Cornish Shrimper or Crabber, you really need go no further. The is very similar to the slightly longer Tamarisk 24, the main difference being that the 24 has a counter stern and not the near plumb transom of the 22. In the time we have had her we have replaced the foredeck, main bulkhead and cabin top. All with top quality marine ply and the decks sheathed in glass cloth with epoxy resin. The mast has been stripped, rewired and finished with top quality varnish which now needs just a clean, light rub down and a coat or two of varnish every couple of seasons The iroko sheerstrake has been stripped and finished with Sikkens HLS and Cetol Filter 7 which gives a good looking and very easily maintained finish We now have a new fore hatch which has heavily built iroko sides with a marine ply top with a thick epoxy and glass sheathing. This completes the external structural works to a good standard. If you would to know more, please email m.manning@virgin.net. We have loads of pictures Have a look at the photo album pages on this web site and if there is something you would like more detail on, please just ask.
