Scandal has a traditional style deep cockpit with high coamings.  The engine control is to port.

Lockers for sail ties etc. to starboard View through hatch in cockpit floor

The cockpit is not self draining but has a deep well under which is fitted with an auto / manual electric bilge pump, a 1" manual bilge pump and a 1 1/2" manual bilge pump.

The large pump is mounted in the large cockpit locker under the starboard seat which also contains the mooring lines, radar reflector, spare diesel, harbour tiller, bucket etc.

The small pump is mounted in the engine compartment.

To port of the companionway is a small locker, ideal for bits and bobs... ...and for cooking breakfast on !

To starboard of the companionway there is the diesel filler... ...and a small locker for dipstick etc.

The gas locker is on the aft deck, outboard of the cockpit coaming... ...with the lid on.

The ash tiller is a couple of years old and the substantial, epoxy glass sheathed rudder was new in 2003
